CHARLOTTE, N.C. – April 25, 2024 – The Pelora Group has promoted Audrey Averill to president and chief operating officer. Timothy C. Flanagan, Jr., CLU, ChFC, CFP®, ChSNC™, CFBS, has moved into the role of CEO of The Pelora Group.
Averill joined The Pelora Group (formerly MassMutual Carolinas) in 2008 after graduating from the University of Virginia. She served as an administrative assistant, officer manager and director of firm operations before being promoted to chief operations officer in 2017.
As President & COO of The Pelora Group, Averill leads the senior leadership team in the development, execution and monitoring of the organization’s strategic vision. In addition, she oversees a diverse set of business functions such as finance, compliance, operations and human resources across the firm’s multiple locations in Charlotte, Raleigh, Greensboro, Winston Salem, and Raleigh.
In addition, Averill is a board member of The Pelora Group’s Hands & Feet community service program and a mentor to her teammates, industry colleagues, and others throughout the Charlotte community. She also leads the firm’s women’s initiative that aims to support the growth of women leaders while encouraging more females to join the financial planning industry.
